The
Devil’s Kneading Trough Restaurant is set in one of Kent’s most
spectacular and idyllic beauty spots at the top of the Wye Downs, and
has established a respected reputation amongst diners. The panoramic
views stretching to the sea adds to the attraction of a secluded and
comfortably relaxed restaurant.
Over the last twelve years Dave, Dean and their staff have thrust The Devil’s
Kneading Trough Restaurant into the forefront of Kent’s dining
experiences. Their philosophy of providing the highest quality, mouth
watering freshly home made dishes at affordable prices, in a relaxed
and friendly atmosphere has remained true. This dedication to quality
and service, has won the team the prestigious Guild of Master Craftsmen
Award and are continuously voted by readers of the Financial Times as one of the
top ten restaurants nationally during their annual charity promotions.
Once
discovered, the restaurant becomes a regular venue for many, often
getting booked out in advance. Their unique blend of Mediterranean and
traditional cuisine, lend themselves perfectly to this unique setting.
The three course Sunday
Lunch menu provides excellent value at £17.95. Diners are
tantalised by a varied selection of generously portioned dishes
including vegetarian options. Cooking to order ensures the team can
deliver a tailored service, catering for dietary needs.
We have a patissier who creates exquisite desserts and cream teas daily, truly a treat after a walk on the Downs.
The restaurant makes a perfect location for weddings
and private functions, with seating up to 100 people, a good wine and
bar list, disabled facilities and parking.
