Ben Garrett and Hilary Jones have farmed at Burscombe Cliff Farm, Egerton since 1987. The 90 acre farm obtained full organic status in 1991, meaning the highest standards of animal welfare must be followed at all times.

The farm has 24 breeding cattle, some of which can be seen at Hothfield Common where they have been recruited by the Kent Trust for Nature Conservation to help maintain the ecologically sensitive habitat. Pork on sale at the market is produced from the offspring of the farm's rare breeds; Saddleback and Oxford Sandy and Black pigs.

Hilary and Ben are respected breeders of Blonde d'aquitaine cattle, being regular prizewinners at agricultural shows and selling breeding stock to farmers throughout the UK.

Jays Fish Products is run by Roger and Karen Jay. Based in Chiddingstone, Jays has been established for over 65 years and uses traditional brick kilns and oak wood smoke for its wonderful flavour.

Together with smoked salmon, Jays also offers crab and smoked salmon pates, made from recipes created over 30 years ago together with the more recently created Smoked Salmon cheese.

Jonathan Johnson specialises in bringing high quality game: venison, pheasant, partridge, rabbit, duck etc. to the market. Everything is shot in the wild in local woodland/farmland, and prepared by Jonathan at Broad Oak, Brede, near Rye.

Jonathan and his wife Penny will be pleased to offer you cooking hints at the market, to help you enjoy their delicious alternatives to farmed meat.

J.R. Meats main enterprise is their family owned abattoir at Aylesham. Such small-scale facilities are a vital link in the local food chain, allowing animals to be slaughtered close to the farm with the minimum of transportation and stress.

Olantigh Garden Nurseries is situated 1.25 miles to the north of Wye, just off Olantigh Road and run by Mike and Pat Twyman.

They offer quality plants and cut flowers all grown at a family run nursery with over four generations of experience. They pride themselves on personal service, quality and value for money. Only goods grown at the nursery are offered. Availability is therefore seasonal and, to some extent, dependant on weather.

The farm is situated just below the North Downs, near Wye in Kent and is run by Martin and Heidi Fermor.

Perry Court Farm offers a wide selection of fruit and vegetables including over 100 varieties of apple and pear together with many varieties of strawberries, plums, raspberries, gooseberries, red, white and black currants and many vegetables including asparagus, cabbage, cauliflower, leeks, Jerusalem artichoke, pink fir potatoes and lots more.

A 15 acre farm at West Farleigh near Maidstone. Quarry Farm specialises in producing a wide range of quality meat reared under high welfare conditions. Farmer Stuart Taylor rears beef, pork, lamb, chicken and rabbit, to be sold at the market by his mother June and brother Nick.

Stuart has 30 breeding sows, all Hampshire x Large White. They spend their entire lives outdoors, farrowing and rearing their young in Arks bedded with straw with plenty of space to roam in. No growth promoters are used in any of the feed.

The farm runs a 'closed herd', meaning no animals are bought in, to prevent the spread of disease. Fattened pigs travel just 20 minutes to be slaughtered and butchered, creating further local employment.

Rainham Apiaries is run by Terry and Pat Clare.

Terry is the beekeeper and has bees on orchards and conservation sites in North Kent. He also runs educational courses and gives talks to groups on beekeeping and honey production travelling extensively to see different countries beekeeping methods.

Pat makes the candles, hand cream and various preserves using their honey.

They produce a range of honeys including clear, set and soft set as well as candles, polish and hand creams.

Ripple Farm is a small horticultural farm of 14 acres situated in the Stour Valley in Kent, which has been certified Organic since 1989 and run as a partnership by Martin Mackey and Simon Bowden.

The farm itself is essentially a market garden producing a wide range of vegetables, salads, herbs and some soft fruit following an ethos of:

Syndale Valley Cheesemakers are located at the Brogdale Horticultural Trust in Faversham.

They produce a range of delicious cows & goats milk speciality cheeses including Tunstall Truckle Cheddar, Grove End Caerphilly together with soft and curd cheeses flavoured with peppercorn or garlic and chives, as well as a range of goats cheese. All handmade in small batches by Geoff Parker.
