Wye Under Fives Pre-School is for children aged between 2½
and 5 years who live in Wye and the surrounding villages. It
is an independent, charitable organisation (No:292176) run by
an experienced and well-trained staff, and an elected
committee of parents. It is now accredited with the Kent
Quality Kitemark, which ensures that we operate to the highest
standards of care for pre-school children. You can view the

The pre-school is based at the Small Village Hall in
Wye.There are approx. 70 children on the register with 25
children attending each session with a staff to child ratio of
1:5. There is ten sessions a week: Monday to Friday, 9am to
12pm and 12.45pm to 3.15pm (term time only). We have an intake
in September and a smaller one in January.
Kent County Council funds a maximum 5 sessions per week.
This is from the term after your child's 3rd birthday. (Due to
being oversubscribed 5 sessions will not be available
immediately your child is eligible). Prior to this our fees
are Morning £6.00, Afternoon £5.00, Lunchtime (you provide a
packed lunch), if applicable, £1.75.

A Parent & Toddler Group (birth to 3 years) operates
alongside Wye Under Fives every Wednesday during term time
from 10am until 12pm in the Large Village Hall. This is a
wonderful way to prepare children for pre-school/nursery.
There is a plentiful range of toys and play equipment, a
singing session and a chance to meet new friends. This is run
by an experienced childcare worker and costs £1.50 per
