Save your
countryside through
CPRE Kent
CPRE Kent
is the Kent branch of CPRE, the Campaign to Protect Rural England.
We work though the planning
system to influence decisions about new
development, e.g. housing, traffic
proposals, business development, to
ensure that, where it has to take place,
it does not do so at the expense of the
countryside.
Our work benefits
from the flow of quality planning advice
from CPRE's National Office in Southwark Street. We have twelve district
committees, which scrutinise planning
applications that affect the countryside
of Kent and take an active part in
development plan consultation.
We also run
campaigns around issues that affect the
countryside, e.g. to encourage hedgerow
protection and the problems associated
with large lorries using rural lanes.
CPRE Kent is a
membership organisation and a registered
charity (no 1092012) that helps people to
protect their local countryside and to
keep it beautiful, productive and
enjoyable for everyone.
